Meet the artist

Born in Rubí, Barcelona, in 1964, Mercè Ribera is an artist with over 20 years of experience in sculpture and installations, with work featured in collections like Fundació Vila Casas and Parc-Art.

In 2018, she embraced photography, synthesizing her creative journey into this medium. Ribera creates miniature scenographies on a 1m x 1m table, using figurines, objects, and continuous lighting to explore universal themes such as solitude, dignity, and our relationship with the world.

Her art transforms sensitivity, beauty, and shared pain into images, with light as a central element, offering endless possibilities for meaning and emotion.
