Pegah Salimi Elizi, born on May 15, 1982, in Tehran, Iran, is a distinguished Dark Art artist with a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Painting from the prestigious Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, Italy. As a member of the Iranian House of Painters, her work has been widely recognized and exhibited in numerous galleries and exhibitions both in Iran and internationally.

Pegah’s art journey is profoundly influenced by the resilience and spirit of individuals who strive for freedom and pursue their dreams. Her paintings vividly capture life’s myriad experiences, reflecting the essence of human struggle and aspiration. Through her work, Pegah not only shares her personal experiences but also pays homage to the universal fight for freedom and the relentless pursuit of one’s passions.

Pegah’s portraits explore distinct concepts, using expressive brushstrokes and distorted imagery to question or convey a deeper essence. In this untitled work, with a blue splatter spilling from the distorted mouth, we are prompted to reflect on the power of spoken words and the nature of expression itself. Pegah reveals little about her individual pieces, allowing their impact and meaning to be open for interpretation by the viewer.

Her available prints, such as this one, are her original paintings rendered in graphic format and printed on high-quality 250 gsm luster photo paper. All works are limited editions and come with a certificate of authenticity detailing all specifications of the work and the corresponding edition.
