We are incredibly proud to have Claudio Magrassi in our Dark Art community.

Claudio Magrassi was born in 1969 in Tortona (Italy) where he lives and works. After graduating from the Art School of Turin he deepened his painting techniques by studying ancient art, in particular that of the 1600s, frequenting the ateliers of established artists including Luigi Benedicenti.

He immediately preferred oil painting, which remained his main technique. Attracted from an early age to the representation of figures arising from pure inner instinct, he continued to rework the human figure to the point of creating faces and bodies with a strictly personal code to the limit. between the human and the deformed, but at the same time with a clear figurative imprint.

The dark tones of his paintings arise from the love he has always had for horror, gothic and fantasy cinema. From 2018, driven by the desire to experiment and give body to his creatures, he also began his sculptural activity, receiving praise from critics.

His available works, such as this one, are his original paintings. Each artwork is signed by the artist himself. All works are unique and come with a certificate of authenticity detailing all specifications of the work and the corresponding edition.
